Following several years of successfully administering the Club website Tim Healey has decided to step down due to an ever increasing work load. So the HDC Committee has invited me, Steve Day, to take on the task.

I look after a couple of other classic car club websites in Devon.

In view of the change in admin it was also felt a completely re-designed and refreshed website might be an idea.

So to that end a couple of items have been dropped. Members need no longer to 'Register' into 'My Account'. In fact 'signing in' did not reveal anymore than could be viewed publicaly on the site.

The Forum facility has also been removed. Apart from it being very underused it did also suffer a brief period where 100's of inappropriate and in some instances very 'unfortunate' posts and links to certain types of video.... Tim was able to remove them quite quickly once the problem was noticed but it was decided that to avoid a recurrence the Forum pages would be deleted in this new version.

Perhaps Members might find it simpler to use the Club's FaceBook pages to advertise for parts or to ask technical questions. A link to our FaceBook account can be found at bottom of each page. Just click the FB logo.

But most of the previous content has been retained. A revised photo gallery displays the pictures in 'thumbnails' with a slide show when ever an image is clicked.

The new 'top banner' slide show on the Home page introduces visitors to what goes on at the HDC. A new system of Diary Dates in a calendar format has also been introduced.

If you have any queries or questions about the new website please contact me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and I will do my best to help
